DIVORCE COURT.

MASTERTON CASES . Several divorce cases were heard at the sitting of tlu> Supreme Court in Masterton yesterday. . Albert Maguiro, of Carterton, v. Margaret Ada Maguire and Richard Vivian, "of Wangamii, farmter and drover (co-respondent), an application for a dissolution of marriage on the ground of adultery, and a, claim fat £2OO damages. Mr T. Jordan appeared for petitioner, JNo defence'was filed. Evidence of iiuficomluct on thepart of responded was given by pet- tl0 &? r and Mrs Karkeek. The jury, after retiring for about / twenty minutes, brought in a verdict I for £IOO damages. I His Honor granted a decree nisi, and entered up judgment for tlis amount awarded. Elizabeth McKee r. James McKee, an application for divorce on the ground of desertion. Mr I*. L. HolI lings appeared for petitioner, and Mr S. J. Moran for respondent. Counsel for petitioner announced in opening that several grounds had been alleged in the petition, and an answer,had been filed by respondent. Counsel continued that an arrangement been come to between the parties by which the ground of deI sertion only would bo relied upon, and no opposition would then be offered by the respondent, petitioner to have custody of the youngest child, aiid no costs to be against respondent. Elizabeth MtiKee, petitioner, gave evidence to the effect that in 1907! respondent's conduct towards her had compelled her to leave him, and that she had supported herself since that date. . j Grimstrup McKee, daughter of petitioner, corroborated petitioner's evidence. His Honor said he was satisfied with the evidence, and granted a decree nisi, custody of the youngest child to be given to petitioner. Muriel B. P. Renner v. William James Renner, petition for divorce on grounds of adultery. Mr S. J. Moran appeared for petitioner. Evidence of adultery wa« given, after which His Honor granted a decree nisi.
