Inspector • A*. B» Charters, of the Wellington Education Board, was in Masterton yesterday. His Honor Mr Justice Chapman returned to Wellingtbn from Masterton yesterday afternoon. Dickson, who, for the past two years has acted as secretary of the Wairarapa Amateur Athletic Club, has resigned from that position. Miss Marian Elizabeth Hardley, of the nursing Staff of the Palmerstbn North hospital,; has succumbed to an attack of typhoid fever. Her parents reside at Hawera.

A Sydney Sun special cable announces the death of Sir Albert De Rutzen, Chief Magistrate of the London Police Courts since 1901, at the age of 82. Naylor, of Masterton, lias re-joined the well-known firm of Messrs Booth, MacDonaJd and Go., Ltd., and has -been a-ppointed their resident, representative tor :the rarapa. Mr Naylor will still be resident in. Masterton.
