Day, S.M., the- Commissioner appointed by His Excellency the Governor to hold an inquiry into, certain allegations regarding the treatment of patients at the Sunnyside Mental Hospital, has fixed the 25th inst at.the date for the opening the inquiry at the Provincial Council Chambers, Christchurch, at 11 a.m.. In a public notice, it -is requested that all persons desiring to be heard attend at the time and place stated. The inquiry is into the treatment in Sunnyside Mental Hospital of the •fete William Alexander Tribe; : the late James Howie, the late Sidney; Lionel Barrett, Lewis AlFan Gonrlay, and Daniel Herlihy.
