TO DAY'S WEATHER.
NEW ZEALAND FORECAST. WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Rev. D. C. Bates, of the Meteorological Office, this ©Tenlng wired as follows: Strong westerly winds have prevailed, arid gales are reported in several places in the South Island. Unsettled apd cloudy weather has .prevailed, with showers in parts". The barometer has been unsteady, with a Jailing tendency. Present indications are for strong westerly winds, veering to southerly after about 20 hours, cloudy and unsettled conditions, with rain and colder weather probably fallowing in all parts of the Dominion. The barometer hag a falling tendency,, but will probably rise everywhere by to-morrow evening.
