(Received June 4, 9.30 a.m. ) PARIS, June 3. The International Council of Women's Congress, Lady Aberdeen (the president) presiding, has opened. The Minister of the Interior welcomed the six hundred delegates to the Congress. BOATHOUSE DESTROYED. (Rsceived June 4th, 9.35 a.m.) Suffragettes burnt Fred. Rough's famous Oxford boathouee. Many valuable boats were destroyed. Three women were seen hurriedly leaving before the outbreak, and afterwards Suffragette literature was found in the building. SIR CURTIS BENNETT. (Received Juno 4 ,10 a.m.) LONDON, June 8. The late Sir Curtis Bennett, the Metropolitan Police Magistrate at Bow Street, whose sudden death was announced yesterday, dreaded the Suffragettes. H© told his solicitor that wjiile he was walking at the seasidet last week ope, of two women seized him and endeavoured to'throw him over the cliffs. Both then fled.
