NOVEL SCHEME FOE CON-
STRUCTION.
(Received Last Night, 8.15 o'clock ) SYDNEY, June 3.' Jho Government ha s concluded a tentative contract with Messrs Griffiths, Australia, Ltd., a branch of the firm of Griffiths, Norton and Co Ltd., to expend £3,000,000 in the construction of railways, including the remaining section s on the North Coast, and tho Ernchi Win-Broken Hill lines The company is to secure £3,000,1 000 at the current rate of interest as required, and provide a staff of 'engineers, tho supervision of the workreceiving a remuneration of 5 per cent, on the- cost of the work.
