WIRELESS STATION

(Bij Tckjnpk. — Press Assouation.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Government has accepted the following tenders for contracts. — Erection ci' cottages at Arthur's Pass Station, Midland Railway: A. Kingsford, Christchureh, £3271 10s; erection of power house at Lake Coleridge, Taylor Bros, and Moorhead, Christchufch, £13.635 2s Gd.

{By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Postmaster-General states that the work in preparation for tho erection of the wireless station at the Ohathams is now well forward. As soon as the material is ready it will be shipped to the Islands, and the station should be in position at an early date. The site has already been surveyed.
