In November, 1012, the hon. secrotary, Mr Rutherford, acted as delegate at the second annual Conlerence of the Poultry Association, in Chiistehurch. Jn August a schcmo for raising a fund for the purchase ot poultry feed was' instituted, the amount to date now totalling ;L2() 11* Id, besides interest due. I his sum could have been much larger if more members had participated theiein, and members are strongly recommended to contribute to this fund as freely as possible. Up till lately Graham- and Co, have had the collecting ot members' e<*gs but your committee has now deemed it advisable to the lirrn of Miniiie and Gardner a trial. The terms are precisely the same in both cn-sos. viz, no charge for collection but a reasonable amount of memlieis' custom is expected, or a charge of one farthing per doz. is made.

On the, 27th of December, Mr "Mesp acted as delegate to the. Hutt Conference and your committee wish to put on record the able work that ho effected. Again, on the litii of January, the iion. secretary attended a ■second C'onlerouce at tho Huto, wheio further progress was enacted, for the purpose of improved- marketing of tlr.? Wellington (Circles' eggs, find two delegates wish to place on record the courteous treatment which they both received while at the Hutt. On September the Kith last a meeting was called inviting the public to carry a resolution re Export of eggs as per Christchurch resolution. Mr A. W. Hogg, the late member for the district, gave a very interesting address. Owing to the short notice and inclement weather the meeting was not too well attended, and your Committee beg to impress on members the advisability of attending all meetings dealing with the poultry industry, as this must strengthen cooperation amongst all. The resolution was unanimously carried. L The following remits to the Auckland Conference, to be held next Easi ter, wero sent by your Committee. 1. All persons selling eggs to be registered. 2. The Affiliation Fee be raised from Od to Is per member. 3. All Unaffiliated Circles be requested to keep in view the broad principle ol co-operation, by supporting one agent in each market..

Owing to the resignation of Mr Birchali last October from the Circle the committee obtained the services of Benrosc, who has taken a keen interest in the Circle's welfare. Members are urgently requested to' preserve more eggs in the cheap season in order to obtain the benefits in the winter time. Your committee wish to record the able services of the Chairman, Mr H. O'Leary, who has devoted a large amount of his valuable time to the Circle, and without whose assistance this Circle would not be in such a satisfactory position as it is-. . Members are asked to at all times bear with patience any trifling troubles that may occur and to- re--member that they arc pioneers in a, very new reform, and that time alone will bring tile fullest benefits. Your committee wish to point out that this Circle lias been able to carry out various reforms in marketing eggs which were unobtainable i>rior (■» jfs existence, viz, free collection of eggs from members, houses, the creating of a feed fund, cheaper fees for membership, and a much greater diminu-, t.ion of working expenses, the general average, Id per dozen. I>ei<!g sufficient .to cover all requirements. With reference to the fees, it 'i< proposed to make the. entrance f.-r new members, 2.s Od, and, old me.nihers, free.
