The sum of. £26,306 was put" through the totalisator,' making £50,901 for the two days, against £41,307 for the corresponding meet!ing last year. -'■■' The stipendiary stewards' severely .reprimanded O'Shea and R. E. Brown for the riding of Mary Ann and Phosphorus in the first race of the day. The rider of the Chef in the Waiwera Hurdles was seriously injured, and suffered from concussion of the brain.
