The attitude of Mr Semple and his friends was di tinetly hostile to the Government. Jt bordered, at times, upon the insolent, The Prime Minister found it necessary to speak plainly, but the wonder is that he gave the irresponsibjesi an . audience at nil, after the bounce and bunkum they have been indulging in of late. . It ig sincerely to be. hoped tjhat 'Mi* Massey will riot allow himself to be influenced by a body of men who have declared, their intention otf overthrowing . the, Government at all costs. The Prime Minister should tell these insolents to "go hang;."
