(By Telegraph— rresß Auociation.) CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. Alfred Lowrey, 03 years of age, was brought to the Hospital this morning after suffering for several days with a crushed leg. He was employed at Halswell, felling trees by himself, and last Monday a tree, which hung on to another, fell, pinning him to the ground. It took Lowrey threea hours to extricate himseif, but he could not walk, and lay for a day and a half in the open air, no one coming near him. His cooees were at length heard by Mr John Murphy, a farmer, who took Lowrey to his (Lowrey's) tent, where Lowrey. thinking the injury slight, attended to it himself, Mr Murphy sending him food. This morning Lowrey's leer was much worse, and a constable brought him to the hospital, where his right leg was found to be shattered.
