WELLINGTON, Last Night. A deputation from the Dental Conference waited on the Hon Mr Rhodes; Minister of Public Health, to-day, ami asked that ths medical men appointed by the Government to examine school children should take a course at tho Otago University, to equip them for the examination' of children's teeth', and of making statistical records of the .same. The deputation also asked for the support of the Minister in carrying on research work amongst the Maoris. Mr Rhodes promised to refer the matters to his colleagues. He was surprised to hear what thodeputation had to say regarding thoprevalence of dental caries. As to research work among the ; natives, he would certainly give the Association •his moral support., and if that body wanted anything further, it should sea him again.
