AN AMENDMENT ASKED FOR
A resident of Maistertc-n recently wrote to the Prime Miniyter (Hon . W. F. Ma&yey' pointing out the disabiiity of widows born in New Zealand, and who subsequently ileft for other pan.; and returned, in .the matter of the widows' pensioMfi. Mr Massey has replied:—"l, shall be glad to su'bm't your suggestion For (consideration wher< legislation is being reviewed by Cahinfet for submission to Parliament during the present session. In ill. meantime I am bringing your proposal be/fore the Hon. J.io Minister ii. Charge of the Pe.nskvnls Department for his considera'tiMi."
