1 In response to an advertisement ins vited those interested in the welfare of I Master-ton and the ot i licenses to meet at Murray's Hall last I night, about 200 persons assembled, imj eluding many young men and labour- ;■ Mr E. G. Eton was voted to the i* The minutes of-tke meeting of the ; Executive were read and confirmed. '' The Executive Committee reported t ihav.in"- contradited tllie report of the i commission appointed to inquire 111*0 the -particulars in connection with the Hammond-M-:Manaway challenge. The action of the Committee in tllus matter was confirmed. The meeting then went into committee to mako arrangements in conmection wit'h the effort b'eing made tor the- successful restoration of licenses. I The working for polling day was ' completely organised. ; A number of offers of the use ot ' vehicles for conveying voters to the booths were received, and a large number of those present volunteered to assist personally. The meeting then terminated.
