The political situation is the main topic of conversation in those—dis-tricts.,-Mr Herbert is speaking in every place, and being well received. These meetings are followed by the foratetion of committees. The organisation of the election-from this cairididate'-s point of view will be on a large iscale. The candidate is making vigorous fighting speeches, of which. Masterton will get a. sample in the near (future. Electors of Masterton Should make a point "of being present at the Lansdowne meeting. I understand that Mr Herbert will .make some interesting announcements at his Mangamahoe meeting on Saturday 'evening.
