NEW ZEALAND FORECAST, By Tdearaoh—Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Rev. D. C. Bates, of the MeteoJ rological Office this evening issued the following summary and forecast:— The barometer has risen in the Southi, but .fallen slowly in the northern districts. 'Rain has fallen in most parts of the country, and snow and hail in tihe South. Southerly winds have'prevailed, strong to gale in parts. Present indications are for strong southerly cold and showery weather, and a slowly rising barometer, but a fall will probably follow shortly.
