MISSION SALE
IN KNOX HALL.
. A most successful sale of work in ai-1 of foreign mission® was held .in Knox Hall, Masterton,, yesterday afternoon and evening. There was a.'large and sympathetic attendance, and ~, practically,. the; whole of the. goods were sold. A few small' article i -were disposed of by auction by Mr, Johnson. The stalls and stallholders, were as follow: Fancy work, Mesda.mes H. T. Wood and G. 'F&lia.; produce and cakes, Mesdames N. Miller and Willoughiby; sweets, Masses iN. MiUler and Anderson ; refreshments', Mesdames Ross, Gibson and Tliomip&on, and Mass McHattie. The'results of the competitions were as follow: Decorated taibles, MLas Wilson 1, Mass Miller 2, Miss M. Elliott 3, 'Mis® M. Rive h.e.; ladies' sprays, Mis* T. Payton 1, Miss M. 3iive< 2; .button holes, Dougdas Wood 1, Bertie Wood 2; pin cushion, prettiest, Mrs Pallia 1, Mrs Wood, 2; most original, Miss Wingate 1, Mais. J. Pryor 2. It is expected that the total receipts will amount to over £25.
