He aifiterwiards isuioided in a paddock near Orange. The igjLrtl was .shot in, the forehead. Roache liad two ibullet wounds in the head.
The revolver contained only one discharged cartridge. ' It- is supposed that Roache shot the girl MsKenna and inflicted a slight 'wound on ihiimself. He then went home, re-loaded. the weapon, and returned to the girl's 'side, where he fatally 'shot himself. The girl McKenna may recover.
