Present indications are for strong northerly and 'westerly winds northward of New Plymouth and Napier, and high westerly and southerly winds elsewhere. Rain is probable generally, and snow on the highlands- of -the south. The barometer is very unsteady, probably rising in the South, but falling in the north.
