The Palmerston North Chamber of Commerce Unas passed a resolution, drawing the attention of the Government to thie serious inconveni-. onoe to trade caused by the Ptost Office and public institutions being closed on "Dominion Day," which is not observed as a holiday by shops and, factories. This is a matter wliiicih. affects. Masterton as jnvach as it affects Palmerston North, and' the local Chamber of Comrmeroe, at its meeting to-morrow, should enter an emphatic protest against the "dislocation teif business occasioned iby tlhe needless demonstration of mlock patriotisim and humbug.
