CHAIN OF MISSIONS WANTED.
TO COMBAT MOHAMMEDISM. (Received Sept. 26, 10.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, September 26. Doctor Kumm, a-n African explorer, lecturin gat the University, sounded a note of warning against the Mohammedan menace in Africa, which threatened to swamp Christianity. Tribe after tribe was going over to Islam. Possibly the last great war between the Crescent and the Cross would be fought in Central Africa. It would be an awful conflagration, and the only remedy was by Christianising by a chain of missions from the Niger to the Nile.
