In view of .the interesting disciussadn that is now taking place on the utik isation of waste dairy products, the experiments now being conducted at Nireaha factory should prove of interest to dairy .farmers. The Directors of the Nireaha Cb-operative Cheese Factory are experimenting with the separation of with a view to ascertaining whether , it would pay =Jbo set aip special permanent machinery with .the object of recovering thle Ibutter-fat thkt now practically goes to waste. Trials on . a sirmaOl iscale have, ibeen made, and ifrom eight gallons of whey taken from the top of the tank, one and a half poundis of hutter were recovered. Whey taken from the bottom of. the same tank gave no return of butter-fat.
