MASTERTON RACING CLUB.
MEETING OF STEWARDS. The monthly meeting -'of Stewards of the Masterton Racing Club was held on Saturday afternoon, there being present: Messrs C. F. Vallance (Chairman). R. Buick, J. Macara, F. E. Dorsett. D. McLachlan. W. Piatt, J. Yates, W. lorns. and A. Reside. The Secretary of the Now Zealand Racing Conference wrote, stating that the date of the annual conference had been adjourned until "some date in July, as there was r. probability that* after, the Racing Commission's repott was jreceived some club or clubs might want to alter the dates already applied for. A . letter was received, from the Stock Department stating that the Inspector had reported that everything' had been done on the racecourse for the eradication of Californian thistle that was necessary under the Noxious Weeds Act, 198. The time for the club's annual meeting was fixed for the last Thursday in July.
The Chairman and Secretary were instructed to prepare the annual report. • - --' '.- . ,-•'.-.. ..v The usual monthly accounts were submitted 'and passed for payment.
The treasurer reported a debit balance of £23 odd.
