MYSTERY FLAT DREDGE.

AN ENCOURAGING REPORT. Mr E. Richards, of Masterton, has just received the following report from the secretary of the Mystery Flat Gold Dredging Company, which should be of special interest to Masterton shareholders :

"There is good reason for. anticipating an improvement. Two of the Directors have just returned, from, a visit to the claim, a.nd report that the Dredge will soon be clear of a bank of clay that has been hampering its progress, and will .then be in a line with a shaft showing 6 feet of wash, carrying fairly good .prospects. On the other side, about two chains ahead, is another shaft showing similar prospects. The dredgemaster is fairly confident of an early improvement in the returns. When that takes place I shall advise you; by wire. We axe free of debt, in fact' there is a surplps of about £BO, but there is, of course, now no reserve fund."
