SCHOOL ATTENDANCE.

There, would seem to be some haziness in the minds of parents and guardians on the matter of school attendance. According to an amendment of the Education Act of last session coming into operation on Ist January all children are to attend school every time the school is opened, i.e., both morning and afternoon every school day. The truant officer (Mr Dineen) has had considerable difficulty in both the city and country in impressing upon parents and guardians the fact, that ..there must be regular attendance'every day unless sickness prevents .
