At the Firo Brigades' Demonstration the shield-competitions resulted as follows: Champion Aggregate Shield. —Timaru, 44 points; Wanganui .and Napier 34 points each; Dunedin City, 32 points. High Pressure Shield.—Timaru, 38 points, Wanganui 32 points, Dunedin City 28 points, Invercargill 26 points. Manual Engine Shield.—Dunedin City 30 points, Napier 26 points, Tim-aru-22 points, Mastei*ton 18J points. The Mereweather Shield was won by Timaru, and the Speight Shield was wom.by Carterton. Tiniarti also won the medals presented by Miss Moore and Messrs Speight, and Co., and the special by tliOj Supply Co. , Dunedin City won Messrs Speight and Co.'s gold medal for the ladder race. ...'';
