New Zealand's prosperity «ests on the solid foundation of a wonderful < growth in exports. Tlie yeal* 1910 constituted! a record, amounting to the total of £22,175,436, as compared with. 1909, "£19,661,781 • 1908," £lo> 317,541; and for (the year 1900, £i3,-. 246,161. The increase in value as compared wiltih 1900 was no kiss than £8,929,000. The imports for 1910 amounted to £16,744,322, the balance in . favour of expoi'ts being £5,431,000, which . explains why money is plentiful for the development of the Dominion's resources. Despite the drop in wool, there appears every prospect of another ex-> eellent year.
