WEDDING.
*~ TWENTYMAN-^FOSS. Avery popular wedding was celebrated at Hukanui on Wednesday, July 20th, the contracting parties being William Ogden, eldest son of Mr Wilson Twentyman, and Minicent Agnes, third daughter of Mrs S. Foss. The ceremony was performdby the Rev. B. A Walke, vicar of St. Cuthbert's, and Mies Foss presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr Reginald J. Foss, looked charming in a green cloth tailor made, faced and braided with black, also wearing a stylish green tricorne velvet hat with ostrich plames, and carrying a lovely shower bouquet of white roses and hycopodium. She was attendei by the Misses E. Foss and Twentyman, who wore very pretty hel otrope semi Empire crystalline frrcks with hats to match. They were also wearing dainty amethyst and pearl brooches, gifts of the bridegroom. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr G. Twentymav, as best man, and Mr Bert Foss, b'o hf r ( f the bride, as. groomsman. Tr.e bride's mother was attired in a hand- ' some black zebeline costume, richly trimmed with passementerie and silk, with a plumed jat toque to match, and carried a hand bouquet of violets and maiden hair. Tha mother of the bridegroom wore a black silk voile trimmed with jet, and a pretty smart bonnet of champagne and black. Mrs Foss afterwards enterI tained about fifty guests at her rej sidence, "Grassmere," with a sumpi tunus wedding breakf ist, after which the happy couple left by the express for the Ncrth. In the evening the guests assembled in the hall to a c'ance, at the invitation of Mrs Foss.
Many handsome presents were received, testifying to the popularity of the young couple. The brid - groom's gift to the bride was a bangle, and that of the bride to th; bridegroom a Morris chai*.
