RESOLUTION CRITICISED. INOPPORTUNE AND INADEQUATE. Received April 13, 8.5 a.m. LONDON, April 12. During the Veto debate, Mr Long dwelt on casss such as Home Rule, in which had Mr Asquith's scheme prevailed the Bills would have been carried against the will and opinion of the people. The resolution was, he argued, inopportune and inadequate without reform, and, as it stood, destructive by depriving the Lords of all useful power.
