AMUSEMENTS.

THOMPSON—PAYNE PICTURES It may be said without hesitation that the programme presented at the Foresters' Hall, last, night, easily eclipses anything yet produced here. It would be difficult to conceive a finer collection of pictures. The dramatic subjects are of the highest order, and the subjects are well varied. "Tempered With Mercy'-' is a picture that appeals to all. "A Story of Circus Life," "A Mountaineer's Honour," and "From Cabin King," are all first-class dramas. The comic relief is well supplied by "Almost." "The Widow," and "Drowsy Dick's Dream." This programme will be repeated to-night
