ATHLETICS.
J. Berry, J. Johnston and fi. Billington, local pedestrian, have entered for the Takapau Sports on Wednesday. The following are the hardicaps allotted:—100 Yard. Berry 6yds, Johnston 8 yds, Billington 11' yds; 220 Yards, Berry Byds, Johnton 15yds. Billington 22yds; 440 Yards, Berry 20yds, Johnson 30yds, Billington 40yds A party of Masterton runners, including V. Richard, W. White, R. McKenzie, J. Berry, J. Johnson, H. Billii gton, leave this month to take p3it various athletic meetings in Hawke's Bay. Included in the team are some first-class performers, and they should do credit to Masterton.
