METEOROLOGICAL.
By Telegraph—Press Association.. WELLINGTON. February 4.. The Rev. D U. Bates to-night issued the following weather summary and forecast:—Moderate to strong westerly winds have prevailed with fair weather. A squally area of low pressure passed on Thursday night southward of New Plymouth and Napier; a more extensive area of westerly low pressure will probably follow immediately, and there are indications for a falling barometer, everywhere, and very low in the south. Rain is probable shortly in most parts of. the country. The winds will probably back to northerly everywhere soon and freshen, especially in the south.
