MASONIC LODGE.
INSTALLATION CEREMONY. The installation of Bro.'R.'J. Foss, as Worshipful Master, and the investure of officers of the Masterton Masonic Lodge took place last evening. Despite the inclemency of the weather there was a large attendance of the brethren, the sister lodges being well represented, while visitors were present from a considerable distance. The ceremony of installation was condusted Dy R.W. Bro. R. Fletcher, Deputy Grand Master, assisted by W Bro. J. Gordon Eliott, P.M., as Director of Ceremonies, and past and present officers of the Lodge j Masterton and sister Lodges, while the orchestra and choir added to the \ impressiveness of the ceremonies v The following arc the officers for the ensuing year:—W.M., Bro. R. J. Foss; W. Bro. A. $, Winaenberg, 1.P.M.; Bro. J. b. Henry, 6-.W>; Bro, (' a King, J.W.; W< Bro. ( -'orge Hyde, P.M., Chaplain; Bro. Thos. Wagg, Treasurer; W. Bro. F. J. Hunn, P.M., D.C.; Bro. R. J King, S.D.; Bro. J. Elder, J. D.; Bro. N. D. Bunting, 1.G.; Bro W,' B. Chunn. organist; Bro. C. McDougall, S.S.; Bro. R. Dickson, J S.; Bro. W. Robins, Tyler. At th» conclusion of the ceremonies the brethren adjourned to the refectory, where a sumptuous repast, prepared bv Mr H. Clark, was partaken of, and the usual loyal and Masonic toasts were proposed and responded to interspersed with vocal and musical items. Selection?, were given by ■ the orchestra, a song was rendered . by Bro. R. Young, and a clanonette solo by Bro. J> Candy.
