HOCKEY.
A practice will be held by the Ramblers Club at 6 o'clock this morning on the Showgrounds. At a meeting of delegates from Pahiatua, Eketahuna and Konini, held at Pahiatua, it was decided to form a Ladies' Hockey Association, to be called the Tararua Ladies' .Hockey Association. The following officers were elected for the ensuing ;year:—President, Mr H. Smith (Pahiatua); Vice-Presidents, Father McKenna (Pahiatua), Messrs .'. S. Tripe (Eketahuna), T. Quirk (Konini), and P. C. Turner (Eketahuna); Management Committee, Misses R. Warren, Huges, Seymour, Anderson and T. Allen; Secretary, Miss C. Verry. The return hockey match between Carterton and the Metropolitan Club is to be played in Wellington on June 3rd, writes our Carterton correspondent.
