FINANCE COMMITTEE.

The Finance Committee met in the morning, there being present—Crs C. C. Kebbell on the chair), J. Morris, and J. Ct/lquhoun. The, Treasurer reportedßank General Fund Account, dr., £3,713 12s sd; L.B.L. Account, cr., £1,244 03 6d; Accounts, dr. balance, £3,149 3s lOd; receipts, £1,487 14s 7d. Accounts amounting to £3,009 9s 3d were passed for payment. The representatives of the Opaki Riding and the Engineer were deputed to attend to an offer of Mr A. E. Clarke to maintain certain pieces of road in the vicinity of Mauriceville County boundary. The County Clerk recommended the setting up of a committee to discuss the question of establishing a superannuation fund in the County, or in conjunction with neighbouring local authorities. 7he Committee decided to rceomirun.l the Council to give effect to the report. The above minutes were adopted by the Council.
