The Armstrong, Whitworth Company, Newcastle,and Vickers, Son and Maxim (Barrow), have almost completed in Japan the erection of steel works for gun forging. The Japanese Government intend purchasing the works. The Japanese Admiralty will manage them, assisted by English experts. Japan ordered from Armstrong, Whitworth aid Co. a large number of eun mountings.
