General B)tha, Premier of the Transvaal, speaking at Standerton, said he opposed the idea of taking a referendum on th 3 draft South African Constitution, as it would be wrong and dangerous to do so. He added that had a referendum been taken on the question of the Chinese they would never have left the country.
