EXTENSIVE JEWELLERY ROBBERIES.
TWO ARRESTS MADE. RECOVERY OF STOLEN PROPERTY. Received March 10, 1.3 a.m. PERTH, March 9. A number of extensive jewellery robberies have taken place during the past six weeks in Perth. Yesterday a detective noticed two men digging in an unfrequented part of a river bank, and arrested them. Detectives subsequently proceeded to the spot where the men were digging, and unearthed jewellery valued at £7OO. FIRE IN WELLINGTON. By Telegraph—Press Association.
