The Senate Committee has urged President Roosevelt to exercise discretion and keep one half of the United States Navy in the Pacific. Senator Hall, speaking in the Senate, remarked that the United States Navy would cost 27£ millions starling in 1909, would be 32 millions ntxt year, and probably 40 millions in 1911.
