Ihe amendments to rules were as follow:—Where there is no female Lodge within three miles from a Lodge room females may be admitted and Picume members of male Lodger, and pay the same contributions ami receive the same benefits in accordance with rules governing lemale members. Lodges having moneys or receiving donations not particularly directed to be paid into any special fund were apportioned between three separate funds. An interesting discussion ensued in connection with the increased funeral benefit, and it was ultimately decided that the table of annual contributions as set out in the Directors' report providing for increased funeral benefit up to £IOO be adopted. It was decided that the District Management Committee be recommended to grant three jewels to those Lodges whose membership shows the greatest increase during the current year. The resignation of the C.S., Brc. J. Kershaw, was accepted with regret. Many eulogistic references I were made as to the valuable services rendered by Bro. Kershaw during his term of office for the past twenty years. The meeting unanimously decided to make a presentation to Bro. Kershaw in recognition of his efforts on behalf of the Order, and the Management Committee were authorised to expend the sum of twenty guineas towards the presentation. The election of District Officers for the ensuing term resulted as follows:—Prov. G.M., Bro. C. D. Robertson; D. Prov. G.M., Bro. G. A. H. Hall; Prov. C.S., Bro. G. E. Godber; Management Committee, Bros. W. Guise, W. H. Madeley, E. Hobman, T. G. Osborne, J. Haigh, A. J. lbbetson; Auditor, Bro. VV. Guise: Examining and ReBro. W. H. Madeley; Book Examiner, Bro. A. Perrin. Bro. J. Kershaw was appointed District Trustee in place of Bro. G. E. Godber, resigned. A hearty vote of thanks wa3 accorded to the members of the Loyal Masterton Lodge for the efficient manner in which they have entertained the delegates during their visit to Masterton. The newly elected officers were duly installed to their respective offices, Bro. D. P. Loasby, P.P.G.M., acting as Installing Master, assisted by Sister Walker, of the Loyal WalHs Lodge. On the motion of Bro. J. Smith, it was unanimously decided to present Bro. J. F. O'Sullivan with a Past Prov. G.M. jewel as a slight ! recognition of his valuable services { while acting in the important posi- ' tion of Prov. G.M. j A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to the retiring Management ! Committee for their past services. Specal reference was made to the capable manner in which the local papers reported the proceedings of • the meeting. After the secretary had read the I minutes of th.2 meeting, the procetd- ' ings closed.
