Received February 16, 10 40 p.m. LONDON, February 16.
"The Times'" Dacca correspondent states that the new Ant has converted the societies of Eastern Bengal, named the National Volunteers, into secret societies with ramifications far and wide. The Dacca branch includes several thousand Brahmins, high caste Hindus, but no Mahomedans. The societies are modelled on the lines of the Russian secret societies, having three circles, those constituting th 3 inner circle being really leader?,, with an agent in every village. Ac present the societies only commit occasional acts of dacoity to obtain funds, but they are in close touch with the anarchist organisation in Calcutta.
