Received December 18, 10.55 p.m SYDNEY,December 18.

News just received from the islands is to the effect that the natives at Marovo Lagoon, in the Solomon Grcup, looted and burned the station of a trader who took the place of the trader Burns who was murdered some time ago. A punitive expedition has been sent to the scene of the outrage.
