YOUNG MAN COMMITTED FOR TRIAL. HEAVY FINE FOR ASSAULTING A CONSTABLE. By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, December 2. At the Magistrate's Court to-day -a young man named Charles Thomas Scoringe was committed for trial on a charge of stealing money 11 from a dwelling at Island Bay. Joseph Shaw alias McMahon was ■fined £lO for assaulting a constable while in the execution of his duty.
