The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report on their Pahiatua sale un Tuesday as follows:—We had a fair yarding of sheep, and a good yarding of cattle, mostly made up of females. Sheep showed an advanced price over late rates, cattletselling at about nominal rates. We quote:—Four-tooth wethers to lis 2d, 2-tooth wethers 8s lOd, fat ewes 10s Id, all shorn. Cattle —Springing heifers £3 10s to £4, dairy - cows £8 to £3 10s; forward store cows up to £3, 18-month heifers 30s to 355, 2-year heifers 38s 6d, bulls from £2 to £4 10s.

Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., P.P.A., sale report is as follows: —We had a medium yarding of sheep and a full yarding of cattle, the latter showing an advance on last sale. We quoteSheep—P.m. ewes with lamb at foot, poor condition, 12s lOd, shorn hoggets 9s 2d, woolly hoggets 10s 6d, shorn fat ewes 12s lid,. Cattle—Four-year bullocks £4 17s; 2£-year steers £3 ss; 18-month steers 355; 18-month to 2-year empty heifers 375, springing heifers £3 2s 6d, 3-year empty heifers £2 10s, fat and forward empty heifers £*B 16s 6d fat and forward cows £53 5s to £4 17s, empty cows £2 to £2 6s 6d, cpws in profit £4 ss, springing cows £4 17s 6d to £5 ss, 2-year-old bull £3.
