A PAHIATUA WEDDING.
CHAPMAN—STRATFORD. A very popular ceremony was performed at the Church of Chris t yesterday, when Mr C. J. Chapman, of Taihape, was married to Miss E. L. Stratford. Mr Chapman was formerly a resident of Pahiatua. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a cream lustre dress, trimmed with silk and insertion, finished with a silk girdle and gold tassels, wearing the orthodox wreath and veil, and carrying a handsome shower bouquet. Miss L. Linton, who was dressed in a pale green voile, and hat to match, was in attendance as bridesmaid, while Mr E. Matthews acted as best man. The gifts of the bridegroom to the bride and bridesmaid were pretty brooches. Mr and Mrs Chapman received many handsome and useful presents. The wedding day was the more eventful in that the bridegroom's parents were celebrating their golden wedding at Home.
