The Australians won the first two sets; then the Americana annexed the succeeding two, and the fifth was won by the Australians, amid great excitement and enthusiasm. Received November 29, 4.37 p.m. MELBOURNE, November 28. Wilding's driving was magnificent. Brookes played with great judgment, smashing with great success down he centre court. Brooks and Wilding eventually won by 6—4, 6—2, 5—7, 2—6, 6—4.
