STOCK MARKET.

Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report as follows:—We held a very successful horse sale last Saturday on account of Mr Rupert Morrison, when he sold all his surplus horses from his well-known "Blairlogie" estate. There was a very representative crowd at the sale, and the bidding was very spirited throughout, and full market rates ruled during the sale. We quote:— Draught gelding £45, draught mare £36, half-draught aeed mare £lO, halfdraught chestnut gelding £2O 10s, half-draught Syr geldings £l6 15s to £lB, station hacks from *4 10s to £8 15s, chestnut gelding 3yrs by. "Nevermore" £ls, black gelding "Darkie" aged £lO 10s, chestnut gelding 4yrs £lO, bay mare aged £lO ss, 2-year-old filly £9, 2-year old fillies and geldings £7 2s 6d and £7, £lO, £9 12s 6d and £lO 2s6d; also several others which also brought good prices. We held our fortnightly sale at Taratahi on Tuesday, at which we had a good sale and practically sold the whole yarding. We quote: —Ewes and lambs 15s 3d, dry ewes 9s, springing cows £5 Is, £4 10s and £4, 18-month steers 395, empty cows 325, 3yr Shorthorn bulls £4 15s to £6. We also report having held our fortnightly sale at' Maaterton yards yesterday, when all ! advertised lots came forward and we had a very good sale. We quote: — Ewes and lambs 153 lOd to 16s Id, fat ewes 12s 6d to 13s Id, cows ,in profit £2 15s, fat cows £5. Pigs were dull of sale and very few were sofd.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report as follows at their Masterton stock sale held yesterday:—The entries in sheep were confined to fat sheep, and ewes and lambs for market, for all of which was good, every line being cleared under the hammer. In cattle a few pens of cow beef and stores offered, all selling'. In pigs a fsw lots of guod weaners ware submitted, ail making good values. Fat ewes in the wool 14s 6d to 15s, shorn Us to 12s, forward 4-tooth wethers 12s, aged ewes and lambs Us 6d. Fat cows to £5 10s, stures 40s to 455, weaner pigs according to quality 10s 6d to 18s.
