'CHOLERA AT MANILA.
CELEBRATIONS ABANDONED
Received October 14, 9.55 a.m.
THURSDAY ISLAND, Oct. 14. Advices from Manila state that owing to the prevalence of cholera "there, none of the men of the American squadron were allowed to go ashore. All the celebrations had, consequently, to be abandoned.
