ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
By Tetegraph—Press Association. DUNEDIN, August IS. Mrs Cameron, wife qf Mr John C. Cameron, manager of the jewellery department at D. Benjamin and Co.'s, dipd very suddenly this morning. Deceased, who has enjoyed the best of health, woke at an early hour apparently in her normal state and conversed cheerfully with her husband, but shortly after six o'clock she complained of pains in the head, which increased in intensity until she lost consciousness. She passed away before medical assistance could be summoned. There is reason to telieve that some cerebral affection was the cause of death. Deceased leaves a family of five sons and two daughters. An oil launch capsized at the mouth of Catlins river yesterday. Alfred Bates got ashore with difficulty, but it was found impossible to rescue his companion," Thomas Mur ray, whose body was not recovered. Deceased was aged 22, and leaves a widow and one child at Ahuriri.
