WAIRARAPA HUNT CLUB.

"MEET" AT GREYTOWN. The memben; of the Wairarapa Hunt Club held a most enjoyable meet of the hounds at Greytown pn Saturday. It was undoubtedly one of the best and most enjoyable runs ever held in the Wairarapa. Messrs Cotter, Haigh, Judd, Hawke and Quinn, very generously placed the whole of their paddocks at the disposal of the club, and the going was first-class all through, the fences being numerous and carefully prepared. The thanks of the club are due to Mr John Cotter, as not only did he place his paddocks at the disposal of the club, but he laid out the run and sent out horse and cart, and his manager (Mr Monteomerie) and Mr Steggall, to assist in building the fences, the work taking two days. At the conclusion all those taking part and all the spectators were handsomely entertained at .the golf links by Mr, Mrs and Miss Cotter. Mr W. Buick (Master), in a few well chosen words, thanked Mr and Mrs Cotter for their hospitality, and called for three cheers, a hearty response being forthcoming. , The following riders took part: Messrs Harold Welch (Huntsman) *on Caroline, J. Shaw (Hon. Whip) on Trustee. W. H. Buick (Master) on Dick Turpin, W. H. Booth on Piriaka, Jack Tilson on Master Lethe, Tui Tilson on Why Not, P. Tilson on Sir Lethe, E. Mitchell on Cockatoo, A.
